Second Saturdays, March 14, April 11, May 9 -- 10 am to 3 pm RAIN/SNOW CANCELS


Volunteer Service – Help weed invasive woody plants in the areas surrounding a Monarch Butterfly Garden at Carpenter Farm Park, Huntington


The goal for this park is to restore six acres of old field meadows to native grasses and wildflowers. Volunteers will help maintain the acres surrounding a 2,000 square foot butterfly garden, which volunteers planted last June with over 300 host milkweed and nectar wildflower plants.


Volunteers must be at least 14 yrs. old.  Wear/bring: Long pants, long sleeve shirt, boots, and snacks/water. Tools and gloves will be provided. Event will be cancelled in case of rain/snow.


Where: Carpenter Farm Park, 55 Old Field Rd., Huntington
