Volunteer opportunities with other conservation not-for-profits on Long Island

The Long Island Sierra Club needs volunteers for energy, conservation issues, political, outings, education, and fundraising. Help is needed tracking town and county environmental legislation, attending town meetings, and researching environmental issues. Leaders and activists needed too. Email our Outreach Chair or call 631-689-1568, or call the hotline at 631-600-3324.

See this link for some details about the various committees we have. They may help you determine what you'd like to be involved with.

Please read the text at the beginning of the form before filling it out.

The Sierra Club, a non-profit organization, is the nation’s longest standing volunteer driven environmental organization. Its purpose is to ‘explore, enjoy and protect the planet’. It does this by educating the public and influencing public policy decisions — legislative, legal, and electoral.

Please note that donations and dues for these policy efforts need to meet specific standards to be tax deductible. Donations to the Sierra Club Foundation are 501c3 tax deductible.
